Hunting

The city of Anoka has many hunting and fishing locations available for enthusiasts.

Many residents of Anoka participate in the yearly archery program at both the Anoka Nature Preserve and Kings Island.

Throughout the summer people can be seen fishing all around Anoka along the Rum and Mississippi River. Along with pole fishing, many people bow fish. The city of Anoka provides permits for those interested in Bow fishing within City limits. Be sure to check out the MN DNR website for all season dates and regulations.

In the fall, there are opportunities for waterfowl hunters to hunt from the permanent blinds at Mississippi Community Park or from the shoreline within the waterfowl hunting zone.

Waterfowl for Warriors provides an experience to honor those that are or have served in the military. Active military members and veterans have a guided hunt in the field and along the Rum River in the Anoka Nature Preserve.
